Small Groups at Cornerstone have one major purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in relationships with others and only then can we live the full life that He intends for us. Sharing life through community is a part of our design as human beings, but meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. That’s why we do Small Groups — to make these life-giving relationships accessible to you.

At Cornerstone Church, we believe our church must grow LARGER and SMALLER at the same time. We grow larger because we want to reach as many people as possible with the life-giving message of Jesus. We grow smaller as we gather in Small Groups to build community and care for people and help them grow in Christ.

Cornerstone Church strives to be a church OF Small Groups, not just a church WITH Small Groups.

We base our Small Group model on the early church as described in the Bible. In the book of Acts, you can read about the tremendous growth of the first church in Jerusalem, where small group meetings in homes helped lay the foundation.

Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.  (Acts 5:42)

To create as many small groups as we can, we use a FREE MARKET approach to Small Groups. This means we want people to gather together based on the things they enjoy and are important to them. Essentially, the things you are already doing in your life are the things that can make up your Small Group!

Lead A Small Group

You don't need to have it all together to lead a Small Group-- you just have to be willing to let God use you as you take your next step. Leading a Small Group isn’t about being perfect or being a Bible scholar; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect. Our approach to leading a group is simple. First, sign up for our next Small Group Leader Training where we will give you the essential tools and training to make your Small Group successful. Next, choose a topic that interests you. Then, select a time and location to meet that you can share with others.  Finally, register your group so others can find it easily. We believe God uses Small Groups to change people's lives, and as a Small Group leader, you get to be a part of that. For more information on leading a small group, please contact Pastor Randy at .
